This study will look at serum specimens pre and post transplant, as well as kidney transplant specimens pre and post reperfusion to identify where the defects has occured that results in recurrence of proteinuria in a given kidney transplant.","This study will retrospectively review patient's medical records for protein in the urine, blood creatinine and kidney biopsy results. It will retrospectively review medical records.","completed","Understanding Proteinuria After Kidney Transplant","This observational study is looking into why some children and young adults develop proteinuria (too much protein in the urine) after a kidney transplant. Researchers will examine blood and kidney tissue samples from before and after transplant, as well as the fluid used to flush the kidney, to understand what causes this problem. They are hoping to explain the mechanisms behind proteinuria in patients who have recently received a kidney transplant. The study is open to kidney transplant recipients up to 25 years old.
