It compares people with a history of SCAD to healthy individuals.","completed","A Study on Sympathetic Nervous System and Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD)","This study is looking into how the 'fight or flight' system (sympathetic nervous system) and the health of your arteries are connected in people who have experienced Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). Researchers will compare people with a history of SCAD to healthy individuals of similar age and sex. They will use several tests, including Arterial Tonometry (to measure artery stiffness), Echocardiograms (heart ultrasound), Carotid Ultrasounds (neck artery ultrasound), Elastography (to measure artery elasticity), and Ankle-Brachial Index (to check blood flow in your legs and arms). The main goal is to see differences in arterial thickness, stiffness, and baroreflex sensitivity (how your body controls blood pressure) at the start of the study. This study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 50 participants.
