FES involves applying electrodes to the abdomen during your regular bowel routine. The main goal is to see if FES can shorten the time it takes for bowel management. Researchers also want to understand if FES can improve your quality of life related to bowel function, how you manage your bowels, bladder symptoms, and reduce hospital visits. You may be able to join if you are over 18, have had a chronic SCI (more than 12 months) above T11, and have a consistent bowel routine.
