It plans to enroll 88 participants.","completed","Managing Transient Neurologic Episodes in Moyamoya Disease Surgery","This observational study is looking at patients with Moyamoya Disease (a rare, progressive cerebrovascular disorder) who are having direct extracranial-intracranial (ECIC) bypass surgery. The goal is to understand how often Transient Neurologic Events (TNEs) – temporary neurological symptoms – happen in the 30 days after surgery. Researchers will collect information on all treatments and assessments during this recovery period to identify what might cause TNEs and how to reduce them. You may be able to join if you are over 3 years old and have Moyamoya Disease, but not if you have certain kidney, electrolyte, neuromuscular, or heart conditions.
