It will also learn about the safety of the device. The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n1. Does the device improve the appearance of striae distensae?\n2. Does the device cause any problems when treating striae distensae? Researchers will compare the appearance of striae distensae before and after treatment with the device.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n1. Undergo treatment with the device in the clinic\n2. Visit the clinic 1 week, 3 months, and 1 year for checkups and tests","Participants will have the area of striae distensae anesthetized with local anesthetic. A biopsy will be performed and a device will be placed underneath the skin that will abrade the skin. It is not specified if it is randomized or blinded.","completed","Study for Striae Distensae Treatment Using Deep Skin Abrasion","This study is testing a device called \"Striae Distensae Treatment Device\" to see if it can improve the appearance of striae distensae (stretch marks). Researchers also want to understand if the device causes any problems. They will compare how your stretch marks look before and after treatment. You may be able to join if you are between 18 and 70 years old and have striae distensae. However, you cannot participate if you smoke or have a coagulation deficiency (a problem with blood clotting). The study's success will be measured by how much the appearance of striae distensae improves up to 12 months after treatment.
