Findings from this study will provide clinicians with a tool that can be used to develop an individualized approach to teaching patients how frequently to perform weight shifts. It is not a randomized study.","completed","Understanding the PReFS Tool for Wheelchair Users","This study is testing a new tool called the Pressure Relief Frequency Scale (PReFS). The PReFS aims to help doctors and therapists figure out how often wheelchair users should shift their weight to prevent skin problems. Researchers want to make sure this tool is reliable and accurate. You might be able to join if you are an adult (18 years or older) who uses a wheelchair most of the time and has a neurologic disorder (like a spinal cord injury, stroke, or traumatic brain injury). The study will be successful if the PReFS is shown to be a good tool for guiding recommendations for pressure relief.
