Both procedures aim to lower the pressure inside your eye (intraocular pressure or IOP) to help prevent vision loss caused by open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high eye pressure). DSLT is a newer, non-contact method that might be more comfortable and efficient. You would be randomly assigned to receive either DSLT or SLT. Researchers will follow your eye pressure and safety for 12 months to see how well each treatment works. The study plans to enroll 172 participants. To join, you must be at least 18 years old with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, and have an open angle in your eye.
