It plans to enroll 62 participants.","completed","APPRAISE: Atropine for Pain and Posterior Synechiae Reduction After Eye Surgery","This study, called APPRAISE, is looking at whether atropine 1% eyedrops are helpful after certain eye surgeries. Atropine eyedrops are often used after these surgeries, and this study will compare outcomes in patients who either use or don't use them. The main goal is to see how much pain you experience, measured by a pain score (Visual Analog Scale or VAS) one month after surgery. You might be able to join if you are having vitrectomy surgery, are 18 or older, and can give informed consent. You cannot join if you have an allergy to atropine or are using certain other eyedrops.
