Imaging Studies for Prostate Cancer Response to Radiation Therapy
This observational study aims to better understand why some men with prostate cancer don't respond as well to initial radiation treatments. Radiation therapy is a common treatment, but for a small number of men, the cancer may return. This study will use advanced imaging (multiparametric prostate MR) and biopsies to find out how often prostate cancer comes back locally after radiation. This information is important because knowing if the cancer has returned only in the prostate can help doctors choose the best next steps. You may be able to join if you are a man aged 18 or older with newly diagnosed, untreated prostate cancer that is considered intermediate or high-risk, and you are planning to receive radiation therapy. The study will measure the rate of local recurrence (cancer returning in the prostate) at the end of the study.
