Influenza Immunization in Adults Over Age 75

This study is looking at how the immune systems of people over 75 respond to the flu shot (Influenza BIOLOGICAL). Researchers want to understand if a common virus called cytomegalovirus (CMV) affects this response. You might be able to join if you are over 75 and don't have allergies to eggs or vaccines, active cancer, or certain inflammatory conditions. The study aims to see if CMV viral DNA is present in your blood cells at the end of each flu season for four years. This will help them understand what makes the flu shot more or less effective in older adults. About 1025 people will participate.
