Sensory-Motor Rehabilitation Post Stroke
This study is testing a new way to help people recover from a stroke using a portable rehabilitation robot. The robot will gently or strongly move your impaired (weakened) ankle joint back and forth. You will then be asked to move your ankle muscles with or without the robot's help. The goal is to improve your ankle movement, balance, and walking after a stroke. You might be able to join if you are 18-80 years old, had your first stroke within the last year, and have weakness or difficulty moving your ankle. The study will look at changes in your lower body movement (Fugl-Meyer Lower Extremity score) at the beginning and end of the 3-week training, and one month later. The current status of this study is unclear.
