Quantitative Cardiac Parametric Mapping for Heart Disease

This study is looking at new ways to use Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging to help doctors diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients who have heart diseases like cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, or ischemic heart disease (heart problems caused by narrowed arteries). The study will evaluate how well these fast CMR techniques can show damage, swelling, or bleeding in the heart. You may be able to join if you are 18-90 years old and have been diagnosed with or are suspected to have certain heart conditions, and have been referred for a CMR scan. The study aims to see the clinical value of these imaging techniques over two years. The current status of this study is unclear.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion

Subject must be 18-90 years of age.
Subject must be previously diagnosed with or suspected to have one of the following conditions.
Myocardial ischemia or infarction (group 1)
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (group 2)
Infiltrative cardiomyopathy (group 3)
Myocarditis (group 4)
Subject must have been referred for a clinically indicated CMR.

Exclusion

Subject has any implanted device or condition in which an MR scan would be contraindicated.
Subject has an acute psychiatric disorder or is cognitively impaired.
Subject is using or is dependent on substances of abuse.
Subject is unwilling to comply with the requirements of the protocol.
Subject has previously entered this study.
Subject has an allergy against MRI contrast agents.
Subject is in acute unstable condition.
