Scoliosis Shared Decision Making Study
This study is looking at how doctors, patients, and families talk about scoliosis surgery. We want to understand how well patients understand their treatment options after these discussions. To do this, we'll record routine clinic visits where surgery and other options are discussed. We're looking for people aged 13 and older who have scoliosis with a curve between 40 and 65 degrees and a Risser score (a measure of bone maturity) greater than 2. The goal is to use these recordings to create a tool that helps patients and families make decisions about scoliosis treatment. This study is currently unclear on its recruitment status.
