PET Tau Imaging for Neurodegenerative Diseases

This study is looking at how well a special imaging agent, 18F-AV-1451, can detect a protein called tau in the brain. Tau is known to build up in people with brain cell damage, including those with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Researchers want to see if 18F-AV-1451 can help doctors better understand and diagnose these conditions. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older and have been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease such as FTD, PPA, CBD, PSP, MCI, AD, PCA, PD, PDD, DLB, MSA, ALS, or FTD-ALS. The study aims to measure regional tau uptake over 10 years. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
