Observational Study of Ablative Therapy for Prostate Cancer

This observational study is looking at different ways to treat prostate cancer using "focal therapies." These treatments target only the cancerous part of the prostate, such as cryotherapy (using extreme cold to destroy tissue), high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), focal laser ablation, irreversible electroporation, photodynamic therapy, and brachytherapy. The study aims to understand how well these treatments work and what their effects are. You may be able to join if you are over 18, male, and are receiving or have received focal therapy for prostate cancer. You cannot join if your cancer has spread to other parts of your body or if you cannot complete an English questionnaire. The main goal is to see how your prostate biopsy Gleason grade (a measure of how aggressive the cancer is) changes after 12 months. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is an observational study collecting information from 200 participants through a registry. It is not testing a new treatment but rather observing the outcomes of existing focal therapies.
What's involved
The study will collect information about your characteristics, treatments, and outcomes, including PSA levels, biopsy results, and quality of life questionnaires.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your prostate biopsy Gleason grade will be measured at 12 months after treatment.
