Seated Ankle Robot for Foot Drop in Aging and Disabled Populations

This study is testing a Seated Ankle Robot Training device for people with foot drop and ankle weakness caused by peripheral nervous system (PNS) injuries. Foot drop is when you have trouble lifting the front part of your foot, which can make you more likely to fall. The robot is designed to help with ankle movement as needed. You may be able to join if you are 18-88 years old, can walk 10 meters, and have chronic foot drop in one leg from a PNS injury. The researchers will measure how much your ankle can move up and down (dorsiflexion-plantarflexion) and side-to-side (inversion-eversion), and how fast you walk, to see if the robot helps. This study plans to enroll 100 participants.
