Cardiovascular Disease Risk in Women with Endometriosis
This study is looking into how endometriosis and its treatments might affect your heart health. Researchers want to understand if suppressing estrogen, a common treatment for endometriosis, could impact blood vessel function. They will be testing a medication called Elagolix (400 mg/day oral, 2X200 mg tablets/day for 4 days) to see its effects. The study aims to measure changes in blood vessel function using tests like Flow Mediated Vasodilation and Microvascular skin blood flow analysis. You may be able to join if you are a woman between 18 and 45 years old, with or without endometriosis. The study is looking for 40 participants in total. The current recruitment status is unclear.

What this trial measures
- Flow Mediated Vasodilation Microvascular skin blood flow analysis2 minutes
Blood flow velocity will be measured using the Sonoscope S2 ultrasound imaging system.
- Microdialysis perfusions15 minutes
Following recovery from the microdialysis probe insertions we will measure resting skin blood flow (SkBF).
