CD45RA Depleted Stem Cell Addback for Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndromes

This study is for children and young adults up to 25 years old with certain types of acute leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes who are receiving their first stem cell transplant. The transplant uses donor stem cells that have been processed with the CliniMACS Cell Processing System to remove certain immune cells (TCRαβ and T cells) to help prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a common complication where donor cells attack the patient's body. After this initial transplant, you will receive an "addback" of donor CD45RA depleted peripheral stem cells. Researchers hope this addback will help your immune system recover faster and reduce the risk of infections. The main goal is to see how often acute GVHD occurs within 100 days after transplantation. The current recruitment status is unclear.
