Exoskeleton-Assisted Gait Training for Stroke Rehabilitation

This study is looking at how effective using an Indego Exoskeleton (a powered device that helps with walking) is for improving movement and daily activities in people who have had a stroke. Researchers want to see if this special training, when added to standard rehabilitation, helps patients recover better. You could be eligible if you are between 18 and 90 years old, have had a stroke (either hemorrhagic or ischemic), are medically stable, and can stand on your own. The study will measure success by looking at changes in your ability to perform daily tasks (using the Functional Independence Measure, or FIM™) and how far you can walk in two minutes, both at the start and after four weeks of treatment. Study design
This interventional study plans to enroll 50 participants who will be randomly assigned to either receive training with the Indego Exoskeleton or standard over-ground gait training, in addition to their usual therapy.
