Neurophysiological, Behavioral, and Cognitive Networks in Movement Disorders
This study aims to understand brain activity related to both movement and non-movement symptoms in people with movement disorders like Parkinson's disease (PD) and essential tremor. Researchers are looking at how the brain works during Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery. They will place small, temporary electrodes on the surface of your brain, in addition to the usual DBS electrodes, to record brain activity. The main goals are to measure your accuracy and response times on a task called the Simon Task. You may be able to join if you are at least 18 years old, have PD or essential tremor, and are already approved for DBS surgery. The current recruitment status is unclear.
