Observational Study of Exosome Cargo in Preeclampsia

This study is looking at preeclampsia, a serious condition during pregnancy. Researchers believe that tiny particles called exosomes, released from the placenta, might play a key role in causing preeclampsia. This study will collect blood, urine, and placental samples from women with preeclampsia. They will also measure your vascular reactivity (how well your blood vessels respond) using a non-invasive device. The goal is to understand how the contents of these exosomes contribute to preeclampsia and its effects on the heart and blood vessels. Researchers have already found two biomarkers, vasorin and angiotensin, that seem to be different in women with preeclampsia compared to healthy women, and they want to study this further. You can join if you are a woman between 18 and 45 years old and have been diagnosed with preeclampsia with severe features.
