Total Joint Arthroplasty in Children and Young Adults
This study is looking at how total joint replacement surgery (arthroplasty) affects the daily life and well-being of children and young adults. Researchers want to understand the long-term functional ability and quality of life for patients who have had a total knee or hip replacement for reasons other than cancer in the joint. This includes conditions like osteonecrosis (bone death due to lack of blood supply), trauma, infections, or birth defects. You may be able to join if you are between 10 and 25 years old and have had or will have a total joint replacement at Children's Hospital Colorado by Dr. Nathan Donaldson, Dr. Steven Thorpe, or previously by Dr. Travis Heare.
