This study is looking at whether taking an Omega-3 fish oil supplement can help manage triglyceride levels during pregnancy. Triglycerides are a type of fat in your blood, and it's normal for them to increase during pregnancy. However, very high levels might be linked to larger babies. This study will compare a daily 4g Omega-3 fish oil supplement (750DHA/250EPA) to a 4g daily soybean oil placebo. You may be able to join if you are a pregnant woman between 21-39 years old, have a pre-pregnancy BMI of 28-39, and have fasting triglycerides of 120 mg/dL or higher by 15 weeks of pregnancy. The main goal is to see how these supplements affect your fasting and postprandial (after-meal) triglyceride levels at 34 weeks of pregnancy. The study aims to enroll 40 participants.
