Targeted TDCS for Post-Stroke Aphasia

This study is looking at whether a treatment called cathodal tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) can improve speech and language therapy for people who have aphasia (difficulty with language) after a stroke. You might be able to join if you are between 25 and 85 years old, had a stroke more than six months ago, and have aphasia that affects the left side of your brain. The study will compare cathodal tDCS combined with language training to language training alone (using a sham, or inactive, tDCS device). Researchers will measure how well participants can name pictures and how quickly and efficiently they can name things after three months to see if the treatment is successful. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study planning to enroll 50 participants. It compares an active treatment (cathodal tDCS plus language training) to a placebo (sham tDCS plus language training).
