Recovery From Cushing Syndrome and Mild Autonomous Cortisol Secretion (MACS)
This study is looking at how people recover after surgery for Cushing Syndrome (CS), a condition where your body has too much of a hormone called cortisol. It also includes people with Mild Autonomous Cortisol Secretion (MACS). Researchers want to understand what factors, both before and after surgery, affect how quickly and completely people recover. They are also looking at how symptoms improve and if a technique called MUSE biofeedback, which uses a headband, can help with recovery. The study aims to enroll 700 adults, aged 18 and older, who have a new diagnosis of CS or MACS and are planning to have surgery to treat it. The main goal is to measure your quality of life using a survey over a period of up to 24 months.
