Stress and Congestive Heart Failure Study
This study is looking at how stress affects people with congestive heart failure (CHF). Researchers want to see if stress can make CHF worse. You would undergo mental stress activities in a lab and also use a special device (ecological momentary assessment or EMA) in your daily life to measure how stress and emotions impact your pulmonary artery pressure (PAP), which is the pressure in the blood vessels leading from your heart to your lungs. The study will also look at how changes in PAP due to stress relate to CHF flare-ups. This study is for people aged 18 and older who have congestive heart failure and already have or will be getting a CardioMEMS PAP monitor. The main goal is to measure your pulmonary artery pressure after 6 months. The current status of this study is unclear.
