Scleral lenses are larger contact lenses that rest on the white part of your eye (sclera) and are often used for conditions like keratoconus (a thinning of the cornea), or after eye surgeries like corneal transplants (post-penetrating keratoplasty or PK), LASIK (post-LASIK ectasia), or RK (post-radial keratotomy). Researchers will compare a standard lens fitting to one guided by OCT. Success will be measured by how well the lens fits, looking at things like how much space there is between the lens and your eye (apical and limbal clearance), and if the lens is pressing too hard on your eye (conjunctival compression). You may be able to join if you are 18 or older and need scleral lenses for certain eye conditions, but you cannot have other eye diseases that might affect your vision.
