NOURISH-T+: Promoting Healthy Eating and Exercise Behaviors in Childhood Cancer Survivors
This study, called NOURISH-T+, aims to help parents of childhood cancer survivors learn skills to prevent and reduce obesity in their children. Childhood cancer survivors are at higher risk for weight gain and less exercise, which can lead to long-term health issues like heart disease. This study involves parents participating in one of two web-based programs: NOURISH-T+ or Brief NOURISH-T+. Both programs teach valuable information to improve the health of both the child and the parent. The study will measure success by looking at changes in the child's BMI (Body Mass Index) z-score at 6 and 12 months. You may be eligible if your child is 5-14 years old, has finished active cancer treatment at least 6 months ago, and is at or above the 85th BMI percentile. The study plans to enroll 520 participants, but its current status is unclear.
