Researchers will test for specific changes in your cancer cells, called "actionable oncogenic drivers" (like mutations in EGFR, KRAS G12C, or rearrangements in ALK, RET, ROS1). These changes can help doctors decide if you might benefit from certain targeted therapies. The study aims to see how many patients have these drivers, which could make them eligible for future treatment trials. You may be able to join if you have clinical stage IA2-III lung cancer that might be removed by surgery and no other cancers or prior lung cancer within the last two years. The study plans to enroll 1000 participants.

Inclusion

Clinical stage IA2-III lung cancers
Potentially resectable if lung cancer suspicion confirmed pathologically
Operable

Exclusion

No concurrent malignancy
No prior lung cancer within last 2 years
Purely ground glass pulmonary opacity

    The primary outcome measure is the determination of the proportion of patients with stage IA2-III lung cancers who possess actionable oncogenic drivers. A patient is considered to have a actionable oncogenic driver if they have any of the following 10 genomic alterations: ALK rearrangements, BRAFV600E mutations, EGFR sensitizing mutations, HER2 mutation, HER2 amplification, MET amplification, MET exon 14 mutation, RET rearrangements, NTRK rearrangement, or ROS1 rearrangements.
