This study aims to understand how brain activity in people with Parkinson's disease affects thinking and memory. Researchers will record brain activity (neurophysiology recordings) during deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. They will also use neural stimulation during a gambling task to see how it impacts performance. The goal is to see how these interventions affect brain signals (changes in caudate DLPFC beta coherence) and performance on the gambling task. You may be able to join if you are at least 40 years old, have Parkinson's disease, are scheduled for DBS surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and can speak English.
