This study is looking at whether changes in your retina (the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye) can help predict the progression of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD), a condition that affects small blood vessels in the brain and can increase the risk of stroke and dementia. Researchers are also testing a medication called cilostazol to see if it can safely and effectively slow down SVD progression. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older and have been diagnosed with CADASIL, sporadic white matter disease, or lobar cerebral microbleeding, or if you are a healthy control. The main goal is to see if cilostazol can reduce the volume of white matter disease in the brain after one year. The current status of this study is unclear, and it plans to enroll 100 participants.
