Evaluating LINFU™ for Early Pancreatic Cancer Detection

This study is looking at a new method called LINFU™ to find pancreatic cancer early, even before symptoms appear. LINFU™ uses a special ultrasound technique with two injected substances, Lumason and secretin, to collect pancreatic cells. These cells are then analyzed to detect pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a type of pancreatic cancer) and its early, non-cancerous stages. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 90 years old and have a higher risk of pancreatic cancer due to factors like smoking, diabetes, or family history. The study will track the number of cancers found using LINFU™ over five years. The current status of this study is unclear.

The total number of asymptomatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas and their noninvasive precursor lesions identified with LINFU® by analysis of pancreatic fluid will be compared to the number of these lesions identified with current screening tests, including EUS- FNA, MRI/MRCP, ERCP, CT and CEUS.
