Understanding Hypertension and Obesity's Impact on Blood Pressure

This study aims to understand how your nervous system communicates with blood vessels to raise blood pressure during stress, and how high blood pressure (hypertension) and obesity affect this process. Researchers will measure blood flow and nervous system activity in response to stress tests and an intervention called Neuropeptide Y, which is given as an intra-arterial infusion (directly into an artery). The study is looking for 100 participants, aged 18 to 55, with or without hypertension and obesity.
