Semaglutide for Postpartum Women with History of Gestational Diabetes

This study is looking at whether Semaglutide (Ozempic®), a pen injector medication, can help women who recently had a baby and a history of gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy) return to normal blood sugar levels. Many women with gestational diabetes later develop type 2 diabetes, and this study aims to find a way to prevent that. You might be able to join if you are a woman between 18 and 45 years old, had gestational diabetes in your most recent pregnancy 6 months to 10 years ago, have a BMI of 25 or higher, use certain birth control, and have pre-diabetes (dysglycemia). The main goal is to see if Semaglutide helps you achieve normal blood sugar after 24 weeks of full-dose treatment. The current status of this study is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study with a planned enrollment of 102 women. Participants will receive either Semaglutide or a placebo (an inactive substance) via pen injector.
