Matching Perfusion and Metabolic Activity in HFpEF

This study is looking at new ways to help people with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF), a condition where your heart pumps normally but is too stiff to fill properly. We are testing if Potassium Nitrate, a drug that may increase blood flow to muscles, can improve your ability to exercise. We are also testing a combination of Potassium Nitrate with Propionyl-L-Carnitine and Nicotinamide Riboside, which might also improve how your muscle cells use energy. You could be eligible if you are an adult, have NYHA Class II-III symptoms (meaning you have some limitations with physical activity), and your heart's pumping function is at least 50%. The main goal is to see if these treatments improve your endurance during exercise after 6 weeks.
