Exercise for Soft Tissue Sarcoma Before Radiation and Surgery
This study is looking at how a brief exercise program, called neoadjuvant exercise therapy, might help people with soft tissue sarcoma. This exercise is done right before you receive radiation therapy and surgery. For those with leg tumors, rubber bands will be used for exercise, while those with arm tumors will use an electronic hand-held device. The study wants to see if this exercise can improve how your arm or leg works and how well your wound heals after surgery. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 85 years old, have a confirmed soft tissue sarcoma in an arm or leg, and are planning to have radiation and surgery. The main goal is to count how many patients have wound complications after surgery, up to 24 weeks later. The current status of this study is unclear, and it plans to enroll 24 participants.
