Observational Study of KSHV-Associated Multicentric Castleman's Disease

This observational study is looking to understand the natural course of Kaposi's sarcoma herpes virus (KSHV)-associated Multicentric Castleman's Disease (MCD). MCD is a rare condition that can cause many symptoms and affect different organs. While treatments like rituximab alone or with chemotherapy (liposomal doxorubicin) are used, we don't know much about their long-term effects or how the disease progresses over time. This study aims to learn more about MCD by observing 195 participants. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older, have KSHV-associated MCD confirmed by biopsy, and are able to understand and sign the consent form. You can also be part of other studies while participating in this one.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion

Biopsy proven KSHV-associated MCD, confirmed in the Laboratory of Pathology (LP), CCR
Age \>=18 years.
ECOG performance status \<=4 (Karnofsky \>=20%).
Ability of subject to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent document.
Participants may be co-enrolled in other protocols, including investigational studies to treat KSHV-associated malignancies.

Exclusion

Any condition or set of circumstances that in the opinion of the investigators would make participation in this study unsafe or otherwise inappropriate for a given individual.
