Xenon MRI for Pulmonary Hypertension

This study is looking at how a special type of MRI, called 129Xe Hyperpolarized MRI, can help us understand pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs). Researchers want to see how changes in your lung tissue, at a very small level, are connected to how well your lungs exchange gases and how blood flows through them. They will use 129Xe Hyperpolarized MRI to track these changes over time and see if it can provide more information than standard tests. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 75 years old, are awaiting a lung transplant, and have a diagnosis of precapillary pulmonary hypertension. The study aims to understand how lung changes relate to disease progression or treatment over five years.
