This study is looking at new ways to detect kidney transplant rejection early and without an invasive biopsy. Researchers are studying donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) and regulatory T cells (Tregs) in people who have received a kidney transplant. Dd-cfDNA is genetic material from the donor kidney found in your blood, and Tregs are special immune cells that help prevent rejection. The goal is to see if measuring these can predict acute rejection (when your body's immune system attacks the new kidney) before it causes significant damage. This could help improve how long transplanted kidneys last. The study plans to include 150 adult kidney transplant recipients.
