Observational Study on Laryngeal Dystonia and Voice Tremor

This study aims to better understand laryngeal dystonia (a voice disorder causing strained or interrupted speech) and voice tremor (a shaky voice). Researchers will use various clinical assessments, including recordings of your voice, breathing, and throat muscles, as well as real-time MRI scans. The goal is to identify clear differences between these conditions, which often get confused, to improve diagnosis and treatment. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 80 years old, a native English speaker, right-handed, and have laryngeal dystonia or voice tremor. Healthy individuals without neurological, psychiatric, or ear, nose, and throat problems can also participate as controls. The study is looking for 165 participants, but its current status is unclear.
