Observational Study of Treatments for Benign Thyroid Nodules

This study is looking at two ways to treat benign (non-cancerous) thyroid nodules: surgery (Thyroidectomy) or a procedure called Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA). RFA uses heat to shrink the nodules. Researchers want to see how well these treatments work and how they affect your quality of life. They will compare changes in the size of your nodules and your thyroid hormone levels at 6 and 12 months after treatment. They will also ask you to complete a survey about your quality of life after 12 months. You can join if you are an adult (18 or older) with benign thyroid nodules. You cannot join if you have certain heart problems or are pregnant.

Study design
This is an observational study, meaning researchers will collect information about your treatment and outcomes. It aims to include 100 participants.
What's involved
This is a data collection study where you would give access to information generated before and after your treatment. The study measures outcomes at 6 and 12 months.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed for 12 months after treatment, with measurements taken at 6 and 12 months.
