Radiofrequency Ablation for Indeterminate Thyroid Nodules
This study is looking at how well Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) works for treating certain thyroid nodules (lumps in your thyroid gland). RFA uses heat to treat the nodule. We are collecting information from patient records before and after they have the RFA procedure. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have an indeterminate Bethesda III thyroid nodule (a type of nodule that isn't clearly cancerous or non-cancerous), and your nodule has been confirmed as benign (not cancerous) by specific genetic tests (Afirma Genomic Sequencing Classifier or ThyroSeq v3). We are looking to see if RFA can change the size of the nodule after 12 months. The study status is currently unclear.
- Study design
- This is an observational study that will collect data from 50 participants. It is a chart review, meaning researchers will look at existing medical records.
- What's involved
- Not specified in the trial record.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- The primary endpoint is measured at 12 months, suggesting participants will be followed for at least that long.
