Cannabidiol Effects on Learning and Anxiety Study

This study is looking at how Cannabidiol (CBD) might help college students with social anxiety learn to overcome their fears. Researchers will give some participants a one-time dose of 600 mg Cannabidiol Isolate Gel Capsules, while others will receive a placebo (an inactive capsule). The study aims to see if CBD can improve how quickly people unlearn fear responses. You can join if you are between 18 and 50 years old and do not have certain health conditions like heart problems or neurological disorders. The study plans to enroll 160 participants, but its current status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study involving 160 participants. Half will receive Cannabidiol Isolate Gel Capsules, and the other half will receive a placebo.
What's involved
You will participate in a fear conditioning task where you learn to associate a face with a mild shock. You will then receive a one-time dose of either CBD or a placebo.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your electrodermal activity (a measure of skin's electrical conductivity, which can indicate stress) will be measured at 20 minutes after receiving the dose.
