Using Smartphones to Improve Physical Activity for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injury
This study is testing if a smartphone-based program can help people with spinal cord injury (SCI) be more physically active. It compares a web-based physical activity program (WI program) to the WI program combined with a "just-in-time adaptive intervention" (JITAI). The JITAI uses your smartphone to give you personalized goals and messages about physical activity throughout the day. Researchers want to see if adding the JITAI makes people more active than just using the WI program alone. You might be able to join if you are 18-75 years old, have had an SCI for at least 6 months, use a wheelchair, and can use your arms to exercise. The study aims to measure changes in your moderate-intensity physical activity levels over 16 to 24 weeks. The current status of this study is unclear.
