Retinal Blood Flow and Autoregulation in Glaucoma

This study is looking at how blood flows in the retina (the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye) and how it regulates itself in people with early primary open-angle glaucoma. Researchers believe that problems with retinal blood flow might happen before vision loss in glaucoma. They will use special imaging techniques, including Indocyanine Green Angiography and Ocular Imaging with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Adaptive Optics (AO), to measure blood flow and examine the cells in your retina. They will also see how your retinal blood flow responds to oxygen. The goal is to see if these measurements can be an early sign (biomarker) for glaucoma. You may be able to join if you are 18 to 88 years old, have open-angle glaucoma, and meet other vision requirements. This study aims to understand if impaired blood flow regulation is linked to glaucoma damage.
