Mobile Health Intervention for Skin Cancer Prevention in Hispanics

This study is testing a mobile health intervention called "Hispanics Skin Cancer intervention" delivered through WhatsApp. It aims to help Hispanic individuals at risk for skin cancer improve their sun protection habits and perform self-skin exams. You might be eligible if you are Hispanic, 18 or older, have no personal history of skin cancer, report more than one skin cancer risk factor, don't use enough sun protection, haven't done a self-skin exam recently, and own a smartphone with WhatsApp. The study will compare participants receiving the WhatsApp intervention to a control group receiving general information about physical activity and nutrition. Success will be measured by how many participants complete the intervention, their satisfaction, and if they report more sun protection behaviors after three and six months. The current recruitment status is unclear.
