Enhancing Language Function in Aphasia

This study is looking for people aged 21 to 80 who have aphasia (a language impairment often caused by stroke or dementia) and are native English speakers. The goal is to improve language skills, especially word-finding, by testing two types of behavioral interventions: individualized speech-language training and standard language intervention. Researchers will measure changes in naming ability and overall aphasia severity over about one year. You would need to have normal or corrected vision and hearing and no issues with MRI scans to participate.

Study design
This interventional study plans to enroll 30 participants. It will compare individualized speech-language training with standard language intervention.
