TELESCOPE: Improving Shared Decision-Making for Lung Cancer Screening
This study, called TELESCOPE, is testing a new approach to help people make informed decisions about lung cancer screening. The TELESCOPE intervention provides coaching and support to help you understand your options, decide if screening is right for you, and connect you with services like smoking cessation if needed. Researchers want to see if this coaching helps people make better decisions about screening, increases their understanding of lung cancer screening benefits and risks, and leads to more people getting screened if they choose to. They also want to see if it helps current smokers get connected to programs to help them quit. You may be able to join if you are 50 to 77 years old, have a history of smoking, and meet certain other criteria. The study aims to enroll 594 participants.
