18F-Fluciclovine PET-MRI for Low-Grade Glioma in Children

This study is looking at whether a special imaging scan, called 18F-Fluciclovine PET-MRI, is helpful and safe for children and young adults (ages 1 to 21) who have low-grade glioma (LGG), a type of brain tumor. You might be able to join if you have LGG confirmed by biopsy (unless you have NF1 and classic appearance) and are about to start treatment. Researchers will compare how the tumor looks on these scans before treatment and then again at 3 months and 1 year after starting treatment, to see if it helps doctors understand how the tumor is responding. The study aims to enroll 30 participants, but its current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study planning to enroll 30 participants. It is not specified if it is randomized or blinded.
What's involved
You would receive an injection of 18F-Fluciclovine before PET-MRI imaging. Imaging will be done before starting treatment, and then at 3 months and 1 year after starting treatment.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed for changes in tumor measurements and imaging results for 1 year after starting treatment.
