Study of AM3101 for Meniscus Tear Healing
This study is testing a drug called AM3101 to see if it can help meniscus tears heal better and reduce problems after surgery. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 40 years old, have an MRI showing a meniscus tear (with or without an ACL tear), and meet other health requirements like a healthy BMI and normal liver and kidney function. Researchers will compare AM3101 to a saline placebo (an inactive substance) to see if AM3101 improves healing, as seen on an MRI after 12 months. They will also track any side effects. The study is currently recruiting participants.
- Study design
- This is a prospective, randomized, controlled, double-blinded study, meaning participants are randomly assigned to receive either AM3101 or a placebo, and neither you nor your doctor will know which you are receiving. It plans to enroll 74 participants.
- What's involved
- Not specified in the trial record.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- Your meniscus healing and any side effects will be checked for 12 months after the injection.
